Hey there thanks for stopping by!

We're connecting innovative social and environmental projects in Brum with talented folks in the community who want to do Good in their Hood.

You'll hear first hand the stories of some amazing projects tell us what they are doing to tackle the social and environmental issues in the city including challenges like homelessness, local support groups, food waste, etc. Your openness to share possible contacts, suggestions or ideas of how these great ventures could break through their barriers to positive change in Brum will be part of the co-creation of a beautiful evening.

More details below, and we hope to see you there.

The GFN Brum crew

Are you attending?

Are you attending?

Up to ten projects* will have the opportunity to share with the room on what they're doing, why it's important, who it serves and what help they need. Then our community will shortlist a project to have a full three hour Good For Nothing Gig to hone in on their challenges and work through solutions, rapid prototyping GFN style one evening, in the cafe this side of Christmas.

This is an open, free event great for networking, hearing about local community projects, meeting new people. If you're a designer, a marketing expert, a social media guru, a writer, an artist, a musician, a creative strategist, you know tech, you're great at telling stories, you're a photographer, film maker, web-designer - you name it - anyone can come along and do Good For Nothing.

*If you're coming to pitch please bear in mind the project needs to be up and running with a proven concept, it has an owner or team. The approach that is tackling a social and/or environmental issue is a bit different, disruptive or interesting and the project owner is up for a party i.e willing to open up and let the Good for Nothing crew contribute suggestions and ideas for improvement.

Our Birmingham chapter is still brand new and we're definitely looking for more smart and friendly folks to get involved in this awesome city, so please let your friends, family and colleagues know this is happening and spread the word!

Want to do Good For Nothing? Please click the 'Are you Attending?' button above so we can let Boston Tea Party know how much cake, tea and coffee to prepare.

For projects wishing to pitch please register your interest below and we'll be in touch. We'll keep each pitch under 3 mins, no slides. It'll be fun, varied and dynamic.
