The newly formed Chester Devas WI is the local Womens' Institute within the Chester area, and they need our help to get funky.

Been 'n' gone

This gig's over but check out the calendar for the next one.

The Women's Institute has an incredible background and history of actively getting stuff done from growing food for the war effort, to driving social parity.

Rebecca Collins set-up Chester's newest WI group, Chester Devas WI, about 6 months ago. The group has ambitions to be collaborative, inspirational and stimulating, and, in line with the aims of the National Federation of Women’s Institutes, to promote the education and empowerment of women, and social, supportive local communities.

Activities vary widely, from gardening and belly-dancing classes, to quilt-making and self-defence, in addition to the ‘WI Resolutions’ meetings where the WI discuss issues they want to see the national body campaign on – anything from the health of bees to library closures or organ donation.

We want to help Chester Devas WI create a visual identity that reflects this dynamic feeling.

GFN in a Pub is a quick and intense 3 - 4 hour hack in a pub, where we all get our heads together and see what we can produce in just a few hours.

How do we create a strong identity that represents what we stand for?

Beck says "We'd like something that maintains a connection with the national WI network (maybe colours - white, purple, green - see - or just the inclusion of the national logo somewhere) but beyond that I think it needs to highlight the fact that we're a diverse group of dynamic, professional women." - Messaging

What are the perceptions of the ‘traditional’ and ‘modern’ WI?

How to we debunk any myths associated with the WI?

How do we raise awareness and reach the masses?

Who can we partner with to create synergies and connections?
