We have a fantastic client for our January gig: Emmaus Leeds. They provide accommodation and meaningful work for the homeless, people they term ‘companions’ once they are residents. The work they offer is in their second-hand goods shop. Their ask of us is simple:
they need more people to donate goods, and more people to buy them.

We’re doing a one day make-in: ‘Emmaus Haus’, which offers lots of opportunities for hands on making of stuff, as well taxing your cerebral abilities, creative and communication skills. As it’s just one day, the pressure is on to produce stuff on the day. We will use the evening gig to whip up some interest in Emmaus, by using it to showcase the day’s creativity and Emmaus’ goods and services.
