Been 'n' gone

This gig's over but check out the calendar for the next one.

We'll spend the day working on challenges provided by some great local causes.

The April Centre ( ) - The April Centre are a charity supporting homeless people in and around the Colchester area by providing food, counselling, internet access and entertainment in a warm, welcoming and safe environment. They’ve found that they’re so busy actually helping people that they’ve no time to let anyone know about the great work they’re doing - and that’s where we come in!

Chapeau ( Chapeau brings the Colchester cycling community together via workshops, events, rides and a town-centre coffee shop. They’re about making cycling accessible for everyone, and having a laugh while they’re at it.

Colchester Cycling Campaign ( ) - CCC have been campaigning for safer cycling practices and infrastructure in Colchester for nearly 25 years, and they’re keen to make what they do more accessible to a wider audience. This weekend we’ll be looking at how to get more people cycling every day, and make it appealing to people of all ages.

Here's a (rough) timeline for the event:

1930: Arrive at the Waiting Room

2000: Hear briefs from causes we’ll be working with

2030: Self-organise into teams ready for Saturday

2100: Start chatting and plotting, and have some drinks

????: Go home!

0930: Arrive at the Waiting Room, tea & coffee

1000: Split into groups to work on briefs

1300: Lunch

1400: Regroup and share progress with your cause

1430: Split into groups to work on briefs

1730: Show and tell

1830: Dinner

2000: Drinks, music and unwinding

????: Go home!
