This has culminated in what we hope will be the first of a series of full and mini hacks. They will explore and accelerate ways of supporting Chester and its communities as we slowly emerge from the crisis. And hopefully re-define how we engage with all Chester has to offer in a more sustainable way. These hacks will be part of the GFN project we are calling Hack Chester.
We're keeping this first online hack small and manageable in numbers, so availability & skill sets are quite tight. If you don't fit a specific skill this time, there will be plenty over the coming weeks and months for you. Skills listed above.
The first hack in this series will be 'Walk. Ride. Thrive.'
How do we get people travelling into the city and around neighbourhoods sustainably (bike and foot) and safely, and how do we encourage people to support the local economy & independents when they get there?
The hack will be about 5 - 7 hours long, with plenty of breaks and interactive fun to ensure we don't become Screen Zombies. This is going to be hack with a difference - with virtual delights and even surprises at some of your doorstep - we'll be touch for your home address if you want to take part.
If you have the skills and you give a shi*t about Chester, sign up now!
We'll be in touch direct to firm up exact timings on the day, talk about tools, and circulate the Brief with the defined Asks and venture background for prep.
