Making Internet has become the truest, and most vital, of the humanities! The Internet is the most interesting thing...maybe ever. It's getting exponentially more interesting as it swallows or disrupts everything from information and biology, to the planet and even the cosmos! Network culture and software are the legos we're using to build this slice of the near-future with, and right now both pursuits badly need more design thinking to help identify and solve the right problems. Designers must broker the relationship between humans and computers well enough to get all of the humans not only using the network, but also making it for themselves. It is thrilling because it has so much potential for both good and evil. It demands my full attention.
