I am seeking innovative and creative environments and conversations that inspire and help me grow and create. Having been a physician-turned-anthropologist and then an academic for over a decade, I find myself in need of reaching out to where all my passions align: creative and meaningful connections and conversations that lead to ideas and action.

I'm an Iranian-American-soon-to-be-British writer, poet and anthropologist. My expertise is in psychological anthropology and psychoanalysis; I care deeply about human connections, stories, and identity-politics. I'm a people's person and an introvert at once. As an immigrant and an interdisciplinary scholar, I have always found myself at in liminal spaces in between languages, experiences, professional cultures, and places. This liminality is at the heart of my creative work. But at this point, I am keen to put all that to meaningful and impactful creation.
